Our Privacy Philosophy
Steady helps you prepare for social events and process them afterward. Your event details, reflections, and patterns are deeply personal — we've designed the app to keep them that way.
We collect data to understand what helps people build lasting confidence — not what keeps them using apps longer. If data shows a feature increases engagement but doesn't build capacity, we remove it.
Information We Collect
Your Event Data: All event details, people, topics, intentions, notecards, and reflections you create in Steady are stored locally on your device. We cannot access this content.
Account Information: If you create an account for sync or backup, we collect your email address.
Anonymized Patterns (Optional): If you consent, we collect anonymized usage patterns to improve the app. This includes prep duration, debrief completion rates, and scaffolding level — never names, topics, or personal content.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage statistics (feature usage, app stability) to improve Steady. This data cannot identify you or reveal your personal content.
How We Use Your Information

- Understand what builds capacity so we can help others (only with consent)
- Send service-related communications
What We Don't Do
- Read your event details, people, or reflections
- Train AI on your personal content
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your information for advertising
- Use data to make you use the app more
- Link patterns back to identifiable individuals
Data Sharing Consent
We ask once — after you've experienced Steady's value — whether you'd like to share anonymized patterns. This is entirely optional. No features are gated behind consent. If you decline, we never ask again.
If you consent, we collect only structural patterns (timing, completion rates, scaffolding levels) with a random UUID that cannot be linked to you. You can change this anytime in Settings.
Your Rights
You can export or delete your data at any time within the app. Since data is stored locally, deletion is immediate and permanent. For account-related requests, contact support@continuitylabs.ai.
