Your privacy is fundamental to how we built Chorus. We designed our architecture around a simple principle: what can't be stored can't be stolen.
Our Privacy Philosophy
Chorus is built on the belief that AI should enhance human connection without compromising privacy. We process audio in real-time to generate insights, then immediately delete the recordings and transcripts. Only the extracted insights remain—and those stay on your device.
Information We Collect
Audio Data: When you use Chorus, the app temporarily processes audio from your conversations. This audio is used solely to generate real-time transcriptions and AI-powered insights. Audio recordings are automatically deleted immediately after processing—we do not store, transmit, or retain any audio recordings.
Transcripts: Transcripts generated during conversations are processed locally and deleted automatically at the end of each session. We do not retain transcript data.
Insights: The AI-generated insights, connections, and artifacts from your conversations are stored locally on your device. These are never transmitted to our servers.
Account Information: If you create an account or subscribe to Chorus Pro, we collect your email address and payment information (processed securely through Apple).
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app, including feature usage patterns and crash reports. This data cannot be linked to specific conversations or individuals.
How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Provide and improve Chorus functionality
- Process subscriptions and payments
- Send service-related communications
- Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve the app
What We Don't Do
We do not:
- Store your audio recordings
- Retain your conversation transcripts
- Train AI models on your conversations
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your personal information for advertising purposes
- Track your location
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Our architecture is designed with privacy as the default—by not storing sensitive data, we eliminate the risk of that data being compromised.
Third-Party Services
Chorus uses Apple's on-device AI capabilities for transcription and processing. Audio processing occurs locally on your device when possible. When cloud processing is required, it is handled through Apple's privacy-preserving infrastructure.
Payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your full payment details.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of analytics collection
- Export your locally-stored insights

Children's Privacy
Chorus is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
