Our Privacy Philosophy
MagikBox helps you capture and organize your thinking through object tracking. Your object locations and tracking data are deeply personal—we've designed the app to keep them that way.
Information We Collect
Your Data: Object locations and tracking data you create in MagikBox are stored locally on your device — we cannot access them. On the Premium tier, the text of a specific voice transcript being parsed may be transmitted off-device, and only with your explicit consent, as described in "Third-party AI processing" below.
Account Information: If you create an account for sync or backup, we collect your email address.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage statistics (feature usage, app stability) to improve MagikBox. This data cannot identify you or reveal your reflection content.
How We Use Your Information

Third-party AI processing
MagikBox's Premium tier uses Anthropic's Claude to parse voice transcripts and free-form text into structured object + location entries. Free tier uses on-device parsing only and does not transmit to Anthropic.
What we send: only the text of the specific transcript being parsed. Note that transcripts may incidentally contain third-party PII when a user describes a placement that mentions another person (e.g. "I put Bob's keys on the counter"). We do not send your name, email, contacts, calendar, location, or audio recordings. Anthropic does not use this content to train their models — this is governed by Anthropic's commercial terms with Continuity Labs.
When we send it: MagikBox asks for your explicit consent before the first transmission. Premium users can revoke consent at any time in Settings → Privacy in the MagikBox app; subsequent captures will use on-device parsing only.
What We Don't Do
- Read your object tracking data
- Use your data to train AI models
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your information for advertising
Your Rights
You can export or delete your data at any time within the app. For account-related requests, contact support@continuitylabs.ai.
